It was exactly a year ago that I finally found the courage to start
MY FINDS... it was supposed to be just an experiment, to get the feel of the blogging world, as they say... But I'm truly so amazed that it's been already a year and I'm still here... I really want to thank everyone who continue to drop by and see what finds I continue to have...
Well, for this special day, which is truly, truly special because today is also the day where the whole world is celebrating
Mother's Day... (so to all the
Moms out there, and of course, to my very
own Mom, I want to greet all of you a very
Happy Mother's Day!!! )... Let me present to you a special find, this is a gift from a dear friend, an
Ostrich Egg...
We were really amazed when we saw this actual
Ostrich Egg, we never thought it's this
BIG...

To give you guys an idea, here's to compare the
Ostrich Egg with a
Chicken Egg...

Kid 2 really wanted to preserve the
Ostrich Egg Shell, in order to do that, we have to operate... :)
First, you have to shake the egg... then wash the drill and make a mark with a tip of your pen at the center of the egg and drill away...

Until this...

Shake and let the egg slide out of the shell...

.

Still dripping..

I was told that
a single Ostrich Egg is equivalent to
2 dozens of Chicken Eggs...
Well, we decided to taste this, so here was the Scrambled Ostrich Egg... the taste was a little different, I think... or is it just the same???

Oh well, it was a fun experience and Kid 2 was happy to get his shell... and hmmm, I wonder what to do with the remaining Ostrich Egg in the ref...

You are brave...I don't think I would have tried it. I can't believe it equals 2 dozen eggs! Happy belated Mother's Day!
i saw a food challenge in which a person was dared to eat an entire ostrich egg--scrambled, not raw. the challenger failed miserably. :)
What an egg! I have never tried something like that! ;))
Once I saw a tv show about ostrick eggs, they're so huge! I don't even know where I'd find one around here.
Happy belated Mother's Day and also First Blog Anniversary :)
One ostrich egg is equal to twelve chicken eggs? Wow! My mom gonna love this because she needs about more than 30 eggs to bake "kue lapis", this going to help her a lot, hehehe...
Happy Blogversary! It's nice getting to know you through blogging. Hope you'll always be inspired to share more.
